This page contains all the information you need to participate in, or volunteer at, Amesbury Carnival 2020.
Floats & Walking Groups
We would still love to hear from any groups, organisation or businesses who are interested in putting a float or walking group into this years procession! Submitting a float or walking group is free, all you need is a completed risk assessment and your own liability cover - groups without their own liability cover can pay a small fee (less than £50) and be insured under the Carnival’s own insurance.
In previous years local businesses such as transport and scaffolding companies have helped groups out by offering free services such as safety barriers for floats and even the vehicles themselves. The procession this year is likely to form up in the grounds of Amesbury Abbey, along Salisbury Street past Lloyds bank and Aldi, across into The Centre, Earls Court Road and up Antrobus road before finally heading into the show ground in Holders Field on Holders Road.
Please see below for copies of the entry forms to participate in this years Carnival Procession.
Showground Pitches & Stalls
Whether you are a Charity, Community Group or Business everyone is welcome as a stallholder on this years showground, however places are limited so get in quick if you are interested!
All we ask is that any fundraising is kept to your own pitch, so as not to be confused with the Carnivals official charities. All the relevant information, including the pitch fees, can be downloaded using the form below.
Pitches are charged at £25 for Charities/Not For Profit and £50 for commercial businesses.
Volunteer or Sponsor
Whether it be through volunteering or sponsorship, we rely on the generosity of supporters to make Carnival a success and 2020 is no exception.
Amesbury Carnival has Sponsorship opportunities for every budget and every type of business. Sponsorship packages start from just £50. Sponsoring Carnival has many benefits; apart from your brand being associated as a supporter of the towns major annual event, you'll also receive benefits such as physical, digital and in-print advertising, mentions during the show and your brand appearing in carnival event before, during and after the event. Contact us today to discuss how your organisation can support Carnival.
We are looking for volunteers to help with this years show, both on the Friday 19th June music night and the procession & main show on Saturday 20th June.
